The Department of Biochemistry of A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre(AJIMS & RC) started functioning in the year 2002 from the inception of college.The department is actively involved in teaching and training medical biochemistry to undergraduate and post graduate students from medical, dental and allied health science courses.The teaching faculty is involved in basic research and the department is well equipped with undergraduate and post-graduate research lab.
The Biochemistry section of Central Diagnostic Laboratory (CDL) of AJIMS & RC hospital has the state of art technology to provide quality healthcare to patients comprising of fully automated analysers, semi-auto analyser, nephelometer, hormone analyser, arterial blood gas analyser and electrolyte analyser which are being managed by the teaching faculty of the department.
