Department of Otorhinolaryngology has 8 Faculty members who have teaching experience as per NMC requirements currently the intake of Postgraduates per year is 5, and we have total 15 Postgraduates. We have Postgraduates since 2009 and the intake was 1 per year which has increased to 5 per year now. The department has regular Post Graduate teaching progrmmes like Seminar, Case Presentation, Journal Club, Temporal Bone Dissection, Cadaveric Dissection, Theory class and Group discussions. The Postgraduates gets hands on training in basic ENT Surgeries and assist in complicated and advanced Otorhinolaryngological Surgeries. They actively participate in PG Quiz, interdepartmental meetings, present papers & posters in various state, national & international conferences. The faculties guide them & the PG’s have won various Gold & Silver medals in Quiz & Original Research article presentations in South zone and national conferences.
The PG’s have bagged various ranks in RGUHS final examination and have got laurels to the department. The teaching progrmme is CBME based for UG & PG’s and they are assessed regularly.
The OPD & OT are equipped with state of the art equipments & lot of procedures and surgeries are being performed, which is being displayed with the help of endoscope, microscope camera for the benefit of the student’s understanding. Regular outreach camps & screening progammes are being conducted along with the research programmes by faculty & PG’s.
