Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical laboratory Technology is an undergraduate programme of 3years and 1year internship.

Medical laboratory technology is a branch of science that deals with diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases using clinical laboratory tests.

During the course ,students get specialized in many areas such as Microbiology ,Hematology, Histopathology , clinical chemistry ,immune pathology,Biomedical Techniques,Virology,Bacteriology, Genetics, Cytopathology, Serology, and Blood bank.

The course also Equips candidates with the skills required to handle advanced equipments as to perform accurate laboratory test.

The candidate seeking admission in our college must have passed Two Years Pre-University or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and biology as mainsubjects.

Candidates who have passed Diploma in MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY awarded by the State Board or an equivalent, are also eligible for direct admission to II year under lateral entry scheme.

Perform laboratory technical procedures.

Knowledge of hygiene and infection control measures.

Develop skills related to pre analytical variables, phlebotomy and interaction with patients.

Knowledge on quality assurance in laboratory activities, which include method evaluation, method adaptation and source of error and instrument maintenance.

Acquires a general understanding of the main principles for analysis methods, assessment of analysis results and reporting routines.

To write and present individual projects related to their field of study.

After completion of B.Sc. MLT course, the candidate can find employment opportunities in health care sectors which includes educational institutes, private and government hospitals.

Pharmaceutical companies and other research areas also provide ample openings for MLT graduates..
