The BSc CCT/CVT course offered by AJ Institute of Allied Health Science was recognized in the year 2016. The program is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. This course is one of a kind that provides the students with hands on experience in interpretation of ECG, Holter monitoring, treadmill test,echocardiography and cardiac catherization as well.

The program offers the students to eventually be able to independently diagnose and evaluate cardiac chambers, functioning of each anatomic structures and great arteries with the help of ultrasound in OPD’s, bedside, casualty and emergency set ups.

The candidates have 1:1 theory and practical exposure during the entire tenure of the program.

The hospital beholds 3D echocardiography machines, strain, strain rate, tissue Doppler and advanced echocardiographic facilities, cardiac Cath labs, ECG labs in order to provide advanced training to help improve their competence.

Graduates of this program can get placed in various traditional and industrial setup and also have the opportunity to be placed overseas.

The candidates seeking admission in our college should meet the eligibility criteria of two years Pre-University or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and biology as main subjects.

Programs offered by the Department of CCT, AJIAHS are; BSc Cardiac Care Technology (BSc CCT) MSc Echocardiography.

BSc CCT- 4 years (including 1-year internship) MSc Echocardiography- 2 years.

Carrying out all non-invasive tests such as ECG, Holter monitoring, SAECG and treadmill test.

To be able to perform and have a good knowledge in all aspects of echocardiography.

To be able to handle the cardiac catherization equipment’s such as C-arm, table movements, IVUS and hardwares independently.

To obtain knowledge about proper analysis and programming cardiac pacemaker.
